Overview of the DAO's Five Key Votes in Q1 2025

 

This quarter, the  DAO community has conducted five votes, with the most recent being the DAWG (Design & Art Working Group) and DEVREL (Developer Relations Working Group) proposals that just passed. Below is a brief overview of all five votes that have taken place this quarter.

JUP Logo Vote  

Purpose: This vote allowed the community to decide on the logo design for the Jupiter Exchange from two options. It was a lighthearted yet engaging way to involve the community in shaping the platform's user experience.  

Outcome: The community selected a preferred design, reflecting the DAO's commitment to incorporating user input into product development.  

Significance: It showcased the DAO's ability to handle smaller, creative decisions transparently and collaboratively.

Meow 2030 Lock-in

Purpose: This proposal is either to let MEOW front the 280m jup required for the long-term alignment of new team members and lock-in until 2030,in return for 220m jup bonus from the community reserve. This brings MEOW total allocation to 500m JUP.

Outcome: The vote passed, indicating strong community support for alignment with long-term goals.  

Significance: It demonstrated the DAO's capacity to tackle major economic decisions, balancing community sentiment with ecosystem sustainability.

Proposal: Catdets Working Group Budget

Purpose: The Catdet working group decided to seek a full year budget,they aim to make the Jupiverse the most productive community in crypto.

Outcome: The vote passed, indicating how much the community and Dao believe in them. 

Significance: It would have furthered the DAO's efforts to refine its processes or support community-driven projects.

DAWG (Design & Art Working Group) Trial Proposal  


Purpose: This vote approved a trial period for the DAWG, focused on enhancing visual design, user experience (UX), and branding across the Jupiter ecosystem.

Outcome: Passed as one of the final votes of the quarter, greenlighting the group's trial with community backing.  

Significance: It reflects the DAO's investment in improving the platform's aesthetics and usability, key to user retention and growth.

DEVREL (Developer Relations Working Group) Trial Proposal  

Purpose: This vote supported the DEVREL group's trial, aimed at boosting developer engagement and infrastructure development within the Jupiverse. The budget was set at $59,000 USDC, as noted in recent community updates.  

Outcome: Passed alongside the DAWG vote, marking the end of this quarter's voting cycle.  

Significance: It underscores the DAO's focus on technical growth, fostering a robust developer community to expand the ecosystem's capabilities.

These five votes highlight the  DAO's active governance this quarter, covering a range of topics from MEOW'S Lock-in and product design to funding working groups for design and developer support. The successful passage of the DAWG and DEVREL votes indicates strong community momentum as the quarter closes, setting the stage for further development in the Jupiverse.The  Rewards for participation, distributed quarterly via the Active Staking Rewards (ASR) system, continue to incentivize engagement in these decisions. This Quarter should distributed by April Ending.
