Ledger Is Live ! (How To Import And Use Your Hardware Wallet On The Lastest Version Of Jupiter Mobile)

Here’s a step-by-step description of how to add a Ledger hardware wallet to the Jupiter App

To integrate your Ledger hardware wallet with the Jupiter app, specifically the Jupiter Mobile app, you can now take advantage of the recently added support for Ledger devices on iOS. This allows you to connect, import, view your assets, and approve transactions securely using your Ledger device. Below is the process:

1. Ensure You Have the Latest Jupiter Mobile App:

Download or update the Jupiter Mobile app to the latest version from the iOS App Store. Ledger support was officially introduced in a recent update, announced on March 26, 2025, so you’ll need this version or later for compatibility.

2. Prepare Your Ledger Device:

   - Make sure your Ledger hardware wallet (e.g., Ledger Nano S, Nano X, or Nano S Plus) is fully set up and updated with the latest firmware via Ledger Live on your computer.

   - Install the Solana app on your Ledger device through Ledger Live’s “Manager” section, as Jupiter operates on the Solana blockchain.

3. Connect Your Ledger to Your Mobile Device:

   - For Ledger Nano X, enable Bluetooth in your Ledger device settings and pair it with your iPhone via the Bluetooth settings in the Jupiter Mobile app.

   - For Ledger Nano S or S Plus, you’ll need a USB-to-Lightning OTG adapter to physically connect your Ledger to your iPhone, as these models don’t support Bluetooth.

4. Open The Jupiter Mobile App

   - Launch the app on your iOS device. If you don’t already have a wallet set up, you’ll be prompted to create or import one.

   - To add your Ledger, look for the option to “Connect Hardware Wallet” or “Import Wallet” in the app’s wallet management section (this may be under a menu like “Settings” or “Wallets”).

5. Select Ledger as Your Wallet Option:

   - Choose the “Ledger” option from the list of supported wallets. The app will prompt you to connect your device.

   - If using Bluetooth (Nano X), ensure your Ledger is unlocked and the Solana app is open on the device. The Jupiter app will detect it automatically.

   - If using a wired connection (Nano S/S Plus), plug in your Ledger, unlock it, and open the Solana app on the device.

6. Import Your Ledger Wallet:

   - Once connected, the app will scan for accounts associated with your Ledger’s Solana app. You don’t need to manually enter your seed phrase—Ledger’s security ensures your private keys remain on the device.

   - Confirm the connection on your Ledger by approving the pairing request displayed on its screen.

7. View and Manage Assets:

   - After successful integration, your Solana-based assets (like SOL, JUP, or other tokens) linked to your Ledger wallet will appear in the Jupiter Mobile app. You can now view balances and use the app’s features, such as swapping tokens.

8. Approve Transactions:

   - When performing actions like token swaps on Jupiter Exchange, the app will send transaction details to your Ledger. Review and approve each transaction directly on your Ledger device’s screen to ensure security.

Notes 🗒️

- As of now, Ledger integration is confirmed for the Jupiter Mobile app on iOS. If you’re using Android or the web version (jup.ag), this feature may not yet be fully supported, and you might need to use a workaround, such as connecting your Ledger to a desktop browser extension (e.g., Phantom) and accessing Jupiter’s web interface.

- Always ensure your Ledger is unlocked and the Solana app is active during the connection process.

- For the most seamless experience, use a Ledger Nano X with Bluetooth, as wired connections may require additional hardware (OTG adapter) and could be less convenient on mobile.

This integration enhances security by keeping your private keys offline while allowing you to interact with Jupiter Exchange’s decentralized trading features directly from your mobile device. If you encounter issues, double-check your app version and Ledger firmware, or consult Jupiter’s official Discord for troubleshooting.
